Meet the Teachers
EMILY WALLACE
I grew up in Belmont, NC. I moved to Raleigh when I was 18 as a freshman at Meredith College. I took my first hot yoga class my sophomore year of college and there was no turning back. I was stressed and lost at school. I was on a high dose of Ritalin to help me focus but wasn't working. After a month of yoga, I got off the medication when I realized the benefits of meditation and yoga. I went home from Christmas break and told my parents I wanted to drop out of school and become a yoga teacher. I went head first and graduated my 200 hour teacher training and shortly after my 300 hour training. In the last 10 years I've been trained in many different lineages of yoga and therapy. I have found that yoga has completely changed my life. I honestly don't know where or who I would be without it. One of my most favorite parts is the teacher training. You can find my classes to be introspective, a balance of yin and yang, and bomb playlists. My goal is to get you lost in your body, heart, and mind and leave Dose feeling lighter and more aware of your deepest truest self.
LIPSA SHAH
I went to my first yoga class in high school and was fascinated by the body and minds ability to be so deeply impacted by movement and breath. I completed my 200 & 300 hour certifications both at Y7 Studio in New York and have continued to remain involved in various training sessions with different teachers around the country. My classes integrate creative vinyasa sequences, meditation, good music, and philosophy. With a strong focus on proper alignment, I will offer many hands-on adjustments and demonstrate throughout class. Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned student, I encourage you to show up as you are, explore with courage and curiosity and to move your body in the most organic way. Outside of the studio, you can find me at home with my husband, two dogs, and a good book, planning our next adventure, or eating (and cooking) an amazing meal.
LEIA OUTEN
My passion for yoga started when I jumped into my career and began to crave physical movement after sitting at a desk most days. I quickly found that yoga was the best way to achieve balance and felt the benefits of the practice trickling into all areas of my life. With a spirit of curiosity, I completed my 200-hour certified teacher training in 2018 and I'm currently pursuing my 500-hour certification. My love for all elements of yoga has blossomed since my first teacher training and now my passion translates through my vibrant and energetic teaching. Today, my classes are fun and offer an opportunity for my students to let go and go inward. Outside of yoga, I work for a local advertising agency and devote my free time to trying fresh recipes in the kitchen, traveling to new destinations, and spending time with my husband and pup.
Karley St. Pierre
Karley St. Pierre is an RYT-200. She completed her 200 hour training in May 2020. Karley empowers her students to create space in their minds through purposeful movement in the body. You can always expect some good tunes on the playlist (famously doing core activation to Harry Styles) as well as some laughs! She cultivates a thoughtful, fun space in her classes. Karley enjoys teaching dynamic Daily Dose classes that balance personal empowerment and strength and holds sacred, nurturing space when teaching Dose Down. When she’s not movin’ and groovin’ at Dose, Karley spends her time with Louise, her precious chihuahua-lab.
